Because Things Taste Better When Eaten On A Stick

Why is it that things taste better when eaten on a stick?  Is it because it reminds us of when we were kids?

Perhaps it's because when we're done eating them, we don't have any plates to wash?

Maybe it's because they're so darned fun.

While searching for different types of desserts that were served on a stick, I found things I've heard of and eaten before and things that I've never seen and look like quite creative concoctions.

If you click on the name of the blog above each photo, it will take you to the recipe.

Cookie Pops

Cookie Dough Pops

I think Bakerella is the queen of cake pops.

If you have yet to make them yourself, she has a great how-to video:

The recipe is not on the page, but it she does have a link to her book Sweets on a Stick.

And a few more books in case you just need more desserts on a stick....

Most of these desserts can be decorated in holiday colors and shapes to decorate your holiday table and delight your guests.   You can put them in a cellophane bag and tie a ribbon around it and you have a cute gift or party treat.

Desserts on a stick.  That's something I really want to make!
